This second playlist jumps straight in with a B-side from trio Miike Snow's second album that engages with catchy keys and a bass line straight from a South Beach montage before taking a selection of nifty club numbers swilling with hooks, flair and quirky touches. Superlove sees Avicii adopting a more minimalist approach based on a deft synth hook whilst maintaining his trademark style, where tracks such as Tapes & Money focus on a slightly deeper, more underground feel.
Whilst this playlist is a personal interpretation, influenced to a degree by my personal musical tastes, I've tried to keep things fresh, with a homage to the scene from Sally Shapiro, the synthetic vocals and flanged guitars of Heartbeats and a slower, groovy number from Glass Candy. If you have any suggestions on things I could add or aren't really relevant to the theme please let me know! It's a slightly unusual theme but one that (I think) has resulted in a wonderful little compilation.
Here is an HTTP link to the playlist, along with a track list for those who like that sort of thing!
